In this Private Workshop kit, I’ll guide you step-by-step through making three Victorian-inspired Easter eggs (each 3” tall)—constructed with cotton, and finished with delicate silk ribbon and millenary florals for a true Old World look.
Each egg is openable and thoughtfully designed so the ribbon and bows can stay in place when you open it. These are perfect for spring decorating, gifting, or adding to a treasured seasonal collection.
Over the 1.5 hour video tutorial, you’ll learn core spun cotton and finishing techniques, including how to:
- Prep the egg forms for a clean fit and easy opening
- Mix and tint glue washes for a vintage finish
- Apply cotton smoothly, then trim and refine the shape
- Wrap and tie silk ribbon so it stays when the egg opens
- Finish with flowers to give the piece its Victorian charm
The project is broken down into clear, manageable steps, so you can pause, rewind, and work comfortably at your own pace.
Each curated supplies kit includes the materials needed to make three eggs using the same methods and materials I use in my own studio.
