"Let's Make Spun Cotton Pigs" Kit

Welcome to the "Let's Make Spun Cotton Pigs" online video tutorial and supplies kit by Full Moon Wares. I am so excited to share this project with you, and to guide you through the process of creating your own spun cotton, heirloom-quality pigs.

In the video tutorial, you will learn the foundations of spun cotton art, including armature building, creating a cotton core, making cotton felt, finishing and embellishing techniques, as well as making glue wash and starch glue, and more. To create our pigs, you will follow Old World techniques using traditional materials, with no shortcuts. The project is broken down into 11 steps of detailed, in-depth teaching over this 3+ hour course.

In the curated supplies kit, you will find the materials needed to three Spun Cotton Pigs (plus extra materials), just like I make. Finished pigs are approximately 2.5" tall and 3.5" long. Some of the supplies include two types of cotton, cotton felt, design templates, a thoughtful embellishment pack, an example photo postcard, and more.
