With this supplies kit and free online video, you will learn traditional techniques for crafting cotton into whimsical, antique-inspired mushrooms. They make a charming addition to your fall and winter holiday decorating or as a special handmade gift. Mushrooms can be finished as ornaments, placecard holders, gift toppers, and more.
This supplies kit includes the items needed to make up to 6 spun cotton mushrooms. Materials in this kit include: hand-dyed cotton (chocolate brown, taupe, antique red); hand-dyed silk ribbon (pewter ombre, silvery green); crepe ruffle; cotton sliver; spun cotton half spheres; cotton faux moss; cotton felt name tags; mica glitter, coffee, potato starch; and pipe cleaners, bamboo skewers, and bronze push pins.
This tutorial is appropriate for beginning and experienced crafters alike and will teach you some of the foundational techniques for spinning cotton. If this is your first time crafting with spun cotton, this project will be perfect for you!
