Vintage-Style Hand Dyed Candy Canes (set of 12)

This listing is for a set of 12 vintage-style hand dyed candy cane ornaments.

These nostalgic treat-shaped ornaments have become a yearly tradition at Full Moon Wares—little reminders of Christmases past, when simple handmade decorations brought the most warmth and charm. Their soft, muted colors and subtle variations feel unmistakably old-fashioned.

Each candy cane begins with cotton chenille pipe cleaners hand-dyed in antique white and vintage red. Hand dyeing creates the gentle shifts in tone that give these canes their authentic antique look. After dyeing, I wind the two colors together into “peppermint twists", refine them by rolling in my hands or on a table, trim the ends, cut them evenly, and shape them into the familiar cane.

Every finished cane is approximately 4” tall. A set of twelve comes tied with a minty green hand dyed silk ribbon and a brass jingle bell.

These candy cane sets make wonderful gifts—perfect as package toppers, tree ornaments, or accents on garlands and wreaths. (Because each piece is hand dyed, colors may vary slightly from those shown.)
