***This listing is for one pig, which is the pig shown in the first photo.***
This special "New Year Good Luck Pig" is made to commemorate the new year of 2025. He is 2 of 5 in a limited series.
These little darlings are steeped in tradition— Pigs are common symbol on Victorian era New Year and holiday greetings and celebrations, as they are believed to symbolize good luck and prosperity because they root forward, always moving toward abundance and growth.
They are entirely handmade using the old world art of spun cotton, hand painted, and intentionally aged for a time worn effect. The pigs are festooned on their New Year's finery, with a tiny velvet top hat with antique trim, a silk banner stamped with the year 2025 and decorated with antique metallic trims, a good luck charm necklace featuring a brass horseshoe and working jingle Bell, and an antique velvet bow. They each carry a handmade cotton four leaf clover in their mouths. (All of the finishing are removable, none are glued in place, so you can take any or all of them off if you wish.)
Pigs are approximately 4.5" long and 3.5" tall to the top of their hat. They are made to stand on their own, but are light enough to hang on a feather tree or other tree as an ornament.
Each one is signed, dated, and numbered by the artist, Lisa Waring of Full Moon Wares. They will be shipped priority mail.
